The area:
Megève (elevation 1113 m) and neighbouring Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (810 m) sit below the Mont Blanc, 35 km west of Chamonix. These traditional Savoyard mountain villages, which are interconnected by a common network of modern ski lifts, exude all the charm of a bygone era. A reputed natural SPA town since Roman times, Saint-Gervais became very popular with wealthy tourists in the early 20th century and its charming historic centre offers many examples of extravagant Belle Époque architecture. The resort is as popular today for its state-of-the-art SPA facilities but also for all the activities connected with skiing, be it downhill (65 km and 45 pistes), cross-country and snowshoeing (30 km), off-piste and glacier (la Vallée Blanche), snowboarding, dog-sleighing, sledging, biathlon, and a ski-park for ski-jumps, hotdog, half-pipe etc. The resort is linked to Megève and the Domaine Evasion, which offers 445 km of pistes facing Mont Blanc to satisfy skiers of all levels.
Summer hiking trails in the Bettex, Mont d’Arbois and Mont Joly areas are accessible from both villages, and mountain-biking is also very popular along marked trails between Val d’Arly, Mont Blanc and Beaufortin.

Saint-Gervais is a delightful old-fashioned resort, an ideal compromise between a traditional mountain village, a health SPA and a ski-resort. Ideally located, just 45 minutes from the centre of Geneva and 8km from Megève, one the smartest and most exclusive resorts in the northern Alps, we recommend this Lagrange property as an excellent investment.
