Bénodet is a very fashionable seaside resort and a yachtsman’s paradise in southern Finistère, one of Brittany’s most spectacularly beautiful departments. At the mouth of the Odet River and facing the Glénans islands, Bénodet is 16 km south of Quimper and has a charming fishing port lined with restaurants, a popular marina, several sandy beaches and an 18 hole golf course. This four star residence is destined to become one of the finest places to stay in Bénodet, centrally located in the village and only 150m from the sea and the beach.
The property:
This four star residence will consist of 135 studio to three bedroom apartments divided among five hamlets of traditional Breton design. The apartments will be comfortably furnished and fitted to the highest standards to meet the needs of a discerning clientele. The residence will also offer a range of luxury services, such as health and beauty treatments.
The residence is located on the sea front close to shops, local amenities and 150 metres from the sandy beach.
The location:
With its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and waterways, Quimper is the cultural and artistic capital of the Finistère department, where you will find much to see and do; and Brest, sheltered by its magnificent natural harbour is one of France’s most important naval and commercial ports. Roscoff, Concarneau, L’Ile d’Ouessant, Le Conquet, the Crozon Peninsula and Douarnenez are just some of the better-known sites to visit in this land steeped with a history that is intimately connected to the sea.
Bénodet is well-known to sailors for the numerous regattas that are organised between the mouth of the Odet River and the Glénans archipelago, offering spectacular views at sunset. This is a lively resort, with many cafes and restaurants serving local seafood and other gastronomic delights.
The Finistère is the southernmost department of Brittany and has a very beautiful coastline with several hundred rocky islands and as many lighthouses. The back-country is also very wild and beautiful with plenty of interesting historic sites to visit. The region has much to offer in terms of activities, and it is possible to enjoy a wide variety of sports such as golf, sailing, horse-riding, cycling, hiking etc.
Our opinion:
Much of Brittany’s charm lies in its Celtic roots and its intimate relationship with the sea. Long a favoured holiday destination, Brittany is attracting more and more full-time residents who enjoy the warm atmosphere of its beautiful historic cities, a certain quality of life and large natural spaces. This is an opportunity to invest in a fashionable, upmarket seaside resort with a very well-established management company guaranteeing the rental income.
